Au Natural

I've been experimenting quite a bit with my hair over the past two years first with blonde then copper. So last week my lovely hairdresser (Hi Dee) stripped my hair back to my own natural red and I love it!!!

Rimmel Glam Eyes HD

I picked up this little palette in my local chemist a few weeks ago. I thought it would be perfect for doing everyday makeup for work but I ended up using it for the nights I went out over the bank holiday weekend. I used it to create two different types of smoky eye. The second of which I didn't take any pictures of but will redo during the week.

There were a few different shades to chose from and I picked 022 Brixton Brown to compliment my colouring. The palette includes 5 different shades as well as a guide at the back to put the colours if your unsure.

The colours are so pretty my favourites are the champange and cranberry and the colour payoff is really good.

Boots Botanics Range

I've already raved about my love for some of the products in the boots Botanics range. A while ago I popped in to get another radiance balm  and had a look at the rest of the range and decided to try out a few other products. I picked up the microdermabrasion polish and the radiance concentration serum as well as my much loved radiance balm.

The mircodermabrasion polish aims to encourage cell renewal, refine pores and improve skin texture and should be used weekly. I keep mine in the shower to use every few days to improve the appearance of my fake tan as it removes all the dead skin cells and t
takes the dull look of your skin. I find it leaves the skin so soft and slightly moisturised.

The serum I LOVE!!! It aims to energise the skin and give a visible radiant glow. After two weeks the skin should look brighter, this can be applied twice daily. I'm really loving this product. You only need 2-3 drops to do your whole face. It absorbs straight away but gives a really fresh feeling and leaves the skin looking lovely and dewy. I've been using this as a base primer then applying the radiance balm before I apply my foundation or BB cream.

I'm so impressed with this range the products really suit my sensitive skin and I love the packaging. At the minute these products are all on offer at €4 each!! I'll definitely be popping back in to pick up some more products, I'm running low on cleanser at the minute so I'm looking forward to trying out one of the ones from this range.

Makeup Storage

I've been on the hunt lately for something to store my own personal makeup in and spotted this little beaut In Dunnes home when I was working away from home in a different store. I'm so in love with it, it has four compartments on the top which are great for your brushes and tall bottles etc. Then it has two small drawers that are perfect for eyeshadows, blushes, lipsticks etc.

I dont usually tend to where colours on my eyes. I go for the brown shades or a grey smoky eye sometimes when I'm going out. But today while my daughter was napping I decided against doing the sensible thing which would be to clean my house and instead started playing with makeup! As you do.

I started playing with green colours and even went for some lashes to finish the look off which is another never for me. I recently bought the DUO eyelash glue in the dark shade and was curious to see if there was much of a difference and I loved it.

Portlaoise Minibreak

Last week my other half and I took our daughters down the country to Portlaoise for a few nights for a much needed mini break. Excited at the prospect of having some new scenery to take outfit posts I packed wayyy too much clothes. But it turns out trying to keep an eye on two very active little girls in a town you don't know leaves very little time for taking pictures of clothes. The girls had an amazing time we on the other hand probably could of done with another break afterwards ha.

I was so happy to finally get using my Cath Kitson luggage Marc got me for Christmas.. its only been 7 months after all :)

Kevyn Aucoin Skin Enhancer

As I mentioned on my Facebook page I'm loving the Kevyn Aucoin sensual skin enhancer at the minute. I've had this for a while as I first heard about it when I attended Tara Makeups master class. I've used it on clients but only recently tried it on myself. It's actually a concealer but can be mixed with a primer and used as a foundation. You only need to smallest amount to cover your entire face so at €45 the pot will last you a really long time. It has a buildable full coverage and suits all skin types. I used shade SX10 which is quite dark and would need to be worn with tan. It is available in Mise Dundalk.

So lately I've been crushing on bobs like crazy!!! I was growing my hair but I just get so bored of it! I find when its long I just throw it up in a ponytail all the time so it's pointless!! So after stalking all my favourite bobs I sent my lovely hairdresser (hi dee!) some pics of the gorgeous Mylenne klass and told her to go nuts.

I'm so happy I did!! I love it it's so much easier to manage which is what I need with the girls.

Here's some of the lovely ladies I've been stalking while I decided what to do.

Work night

Saturday night myself and all the girls from the shop went for a gorgeous meal to wish our even more gorgeous Kristina Bon voyage as she's heading off to America for the next three months.

Hope you have an amazing time my dear!!

Make Up for Green Eyes

As I Said in my last review I've started to use BB cream instead of foundation during the day. I decided to do a makeup look that uses the BB cream and one that also compliments green eyes.

Botanics Radiance Balm

I read about this a while back and have been dying to try it so I picked up it and the BB cream at the weekend.

The balm aims to provide the skin with an instant brighter and fresher complexion that lasts all day. It contains hibiscus which is a natural brightener. After using it for the past few days I have to say it does exactly that.

I applied it after my moisturiser as a primer before I applied my foundation. It gave my tired looking skin an instant glow and once my foundation was applied I still had a dewy glow which I love when doing makeup. It is a peach/pink colour to it but almost looks pearly when applied. And the best bit? It's costs €3.99!!

Since then I have been applying it every day along with the BB cream. I don't really like wearing foundation everyday so as soon as the weather gets nicer I swap it for a BB/CC cream. I have been loving this cream. It's really lightweight but gives a medium coverage and a nice dewy glow. It contains ginkgo which is packed with antioxidants to help protect the skin as well as spf 30. I'm so lazy when it comes to my own makeup that I love the idea of using something that you can just throw on with your fingers on the go.
